Lapel Fire Department Fish Fry Makes $1,500

The Lapel Stony Creek Fire Protection Territory / Lapel Fire Department Fish Fry held on Saturday raised approximately $1,500 for the new Fire House fund.

The event was a huge success, with the majority of the heavy rain forecast as part of Hurricane Isaac falling just before the event started and resuming after it ended.

Fire Territory representative Todd Sears believes they served around 250 pounds of fish and had over 340 people attend.

The Fire Territory would like to thank Pendleton Fire Department for sending a staffed engine to cover runs that evening, which allowed the Lapel Fire Fighters to act as servers.

They would also like to thank the Lapel Eagles and Lapel Masonic Lodge for allowing the use of chairs and tables which kept costs down and made sure more money goes towards the Fire House.

Finally they would like to thank everyone who attended and of course those who donated to the building fun.

The date for the 2013 fish fry has already been set as August 31st 2013!
