Hundreds Attend First theRiver Easter Egg Drop

A crowd of hundreds showed up to meet the Easter Bunny, get their faces painted and collect easter eggs that were dropped out of a helicopter.

While the weather was distinctly chilly there was an impressive turnout for the first of what will likely become a yearly attraction held by theRiver church.

The Easter Bunny and his cheerleaders got the crowd warmed up with some waves and warm up routines while people waited patiently for the helicopter to arrive.

The pilot made one pass over the field before coming around and taking two passes to drop over 5000 eggs onto the field after the Easter Bunnies helpers had already laid out 2000 additional eggs.

As you can see from the photos attached to this article the kids had a great time and one happy child walked away with both a Wii and an Ipod.
