ANDERSON, IN - Ivy Tech Community College East Central Region’s Anderson 53rd Street Campus to serve as the host site for Active Shooter Training provided by the Department of Homeland Security
Who: Department of Homeland Security and participants from multiple police agencies including agencies from Madison, Delaware, Grant, and Blackford Counties. This event is sponsored by the Madison County Trainers Association.
What: Active Shooter Training provided by the Department of Homeland Security for multiple police agencies. The training will include hands-on tactical practice that will involve weapons and role players. The weapons will be air weapons with no projectiles, but will make realistic gun fire noise. Officers will be in full tactical gear as they execute active shooter protocols and room clearing skills.
Where: Ivy Tech Community College
If planning on attending, please use the main entrance off of 53rd Street. Parking will be restricted to the front of the building.
When: Thursday, August 4, 12:30 p.m. to 1:00 p.m.
