theRiver's Easter Egg Drop Attracts Thousands

LAPEL, IN - Several thousand people showed up to the third annual Easter Egg Drop hosted by theRiver Church at Lapel High School.

The event has proven so popular that people were arriving 2 hours before the scheduled start time. At one point cars were backed up to SR32 and the Lapel High School parking lot just wasn't big enough for all the vehicles arriving so grass verges became overflow parking.

Due to the massive turnout the Egg Drop was delayed a few minutes, which seemed needed as people were still arriving about an hour after the event started.

For only its third year this event is one of the biggest draws in Lapel and the kids love it!

Tyson Priest (Pastor at theRiver) said that they will talk about ways to improve the experience in future years to handle the huge volume of people that flock to this event.
